Assessments

Till now when I'm talking about assessment, I panic. As long as I like to represent my effort, but i like if the assessment time pass without noticing. As a teacher I like to give different assessment types to evaluate the students and to work with weakest area in understanding the idea. Each time i,m trying ti tell my student you have a quiz they show me different faces. So I decided not to mention the name quiz and make as discussing session, to eliminate any fear feelings. I added to the quiz a one-to-one discussion about the mistakes they did in the exam. I found when they solve the quiz only with me they answef right but just when I leave them sometimes they are not concentrating. What do you think should I do to increasecthe solving ability in the quiz.

A Vision of K-12 Students Today

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_A-ZVCjfWf8

I really would like to share this video with you (I’m sorry I couldn’t upload it, but I added the link). With these massive kinds of technology and with the requirements that career leaders are asking to possess in our graduate students, I found as teachers we are responsible to help our students to find the proper job and to help them gaining the 21st century skills. Whatever if we are still digital immigrants, we should work hard to learn about these technologies and use what we have from teaching experience to develop these skills and to shape our graduates’ minds and talents. What would you do to answer the calling of our role in the learning process?

My Teaching Experiences after this Course

We came finally to the end of this course. The first day for me in the course was a bad day for me; I was thinking to just drop. I was afraid from managing my time and getting excellent grades at the same time. Then after the second class I started to attach to the spirit that the Dr.joyanne was spreading through the class. I love teaching and love to add something to others, so I started to gain a lot of experiences through the class that we could use in teaching and in developing our techniques. I started to have and get new friends. I started to be attached to the technology more and more. I started to think as digital natives when I am writing my lesson plan and try to choose a kind of technology that I could use with my kids to make it more powerful and having more fun. Till now I still wait each Sunday to add something new to my life. I really appreciate Dr.Joyanne role in transfer her experience to us without noticing this.  I’m really very motivated to continue in this diploma.

Top 10 Reasons to Use Technology in Education: iPad, Tablet, Computer, L...

I really woul like to share this video. I liked the idea about replacing the text books with a digital reader or using IPad or Tab in the classrooms, even doing the written homweork which is sometimes the boring step in th elearning process. I liked the idea " the teachers will not be replaced with the technology but the teachers not using it will be replaced with teachers that using technology". By the end of this century the classroom activities will be changed totally. Rather than students holding books and notes and pencils, they will have their IPad or Tab or a Laptop that hold everything they will need in learning. What do you think?

applying more technologies in our classroom

I would like to share a new experience with using technology. From a week I started a lot of
programs like the Whats app and the viber and using them to communicate with too many people inside or outside of Egypt. Its an amazing feeling that you control thr world and with few seconds you can share calls or images within few seconds nomatter where you are you just have your tab or mobile to do your work. Before the article that Dr.Joyanne sent about applying all kind of technology in the class room available for the students, I was always looking for new methods to teach with. But after I read the article decided to fight to leatn every thing about using most kind of technology with my students. I started with my daughters and I touched the difference before and after using the tab  to talk to other friends. I believe now as the leader in the workforce said that now we need graduate students with high use of technology and able to adopt themselves to the new chages in this field. As we see today that most of the work need a high use of technology with wide range of comunication. Are we welling to improve the quality of our students to call them
"Adoptable Digital Native Workers".?

Selfishness

Selfishness

The world is base somehow on “The way you are treating by others will be in turn the same way that you’ll treat others”.  This work well with people who aren’t conscious for what they are doing.

Selfish became one of the main causes of family breakups. Most divorces are not caused by domestic violence, but simply by a combination of selfish acts eventually result in a break up.

Culture is also at fault. Many people because of the hard financial situations these days, people tend to act selfish. It is okay in this aspect of life but we must take care not to let this attitude spread among our relationships with others.

Move this issue from the small family community to a big community like our country. Some of the people, who work with our government and even those who lead us, are very selfish. Everyone is looking to what he’ll gain and how he will do this without bothering themselves to give more for people who trusted them and do really need a help.

What do you think will happen if we became with social disease? How this could affect us?

Critical Thinking

These days I really feel sorry about what is happening in Egypt. The issue I really concern about is how you could wash brains for those people who are not educated well. The problem we are facing today is, because of our education quality, that people are easily affected with thoughts of others. This raise an important issue which is how can we affect positively those minds and how we can help them to create a powerful pattern in thinking and especially in forming opinions. We should help them to decide what they can believe and do based on the right thoughts and true facts even if they are going to generate different opinions. When I started to read about critical thinking, I found it’s a big responsibility as leaders and educators to direct those minds to the right direction. This will help not to allow people, who have hidden and bad goals, to control and direct those simple minds and direct their agenda. So, I think that we need as teachers, educators, or trainers to learn about this art of thinking to lead the community to what it’s helpful for their citizens.

What should we learn as parents to protect our kids from the Social problems

Pressures and demands of today’s society have made the task of rising up the children are more difficult for parents and sometimes for children. Before we talk about nowadays social issues that could affect the children’s life, let us talk about the common nature habits that our children have- which is “The child is watching”. I was really concern about raising my kids in a healthy environment, but when I saw my kids affected directly and strongly to what is happening in our family and affected to the relation between parents- I really got scared. I felt that they are watching everything; they are watching me even when I am sitting in front the T.V. I surprised from my older daughter that she is talking the same way I do- with little bit nervous. I saw her react angrily toward simple issues, I saw her sometimes talk with negative attitude with her sister. “Oh, my God!”. I decided to concentrate and change rapidly before it’s too late, and working on this in order to meet the greet expectations about a woman in their life. So, I am asking is there any academy that could teach us as parents how to be a professional parents and teacher to our precious kids?.

The consequences of not reading

Encouraging ourselves and our children to read a wide variety of books is probably the best education you can give them.

When I was in high school and because of the library sessions, I was reading two stories per week. Then, I joined the college and unfortunately I was reading only topics related to my major. Finally, I graduated then I became busy with the life. I found myself lacking a lot of experiences when I face any problem (kids, self-confidence, husband, and people around, setting objectives), so I decided to go back and read more and more in different topics. In that way I feel strong and grow faster than my age and I started to look different when handling any issue and understand deeply the world I’m dealing with.

So what do you think could be a consequence of not reading and values will be added when you read?

Using Technologies in classrooms

I
believe the generation we live with today already have been born with these
technology genes. The students by nature will chose the educational techniques
that will help them to learn more about their subject. So, using technology in
the classroom will visualize more the issues or topics they are discussing.
Before, teachers where using only tongues to tell what they want to their
students and the students will just look and listen. In the learning process,
it is very important that all of your senses share together to feel the reality
of the discussing topic. The technology techniques and tools facilitate this
meaning.
For
example, as I’m working as a computer teacher for early stages, I’m teaching
them how to play on one of the educational games that practice on having more
mouse control; I found the child will try hard because it’s a game to hold the
mouse by his hand and coordinate his eye’s movement with his hand’s movement.
Finally, the child’s brain will operate the logical thinking to start solving
any seen on the computer monitor and having fun at the same time.
